Annisa serves as a Councillor and Deputy Mayor of the City of Glen Eira, where she contributes to strategic decision-making on financial sustainability, community wellbeing, infrastructure, and community engagement. Her work in local government provides practical insight into democratic processes, public accountability and the everyday realities of civic leadership.

Annisa also serves as a Board Director representing the Inner Metro South East Region at the Municipal Association of Victoria, contributing to sector-wide collaboration and governance leadership.

As the founding Executive Chair of the Asian Leadership Foundation, Annisa leads initiatives that support leadership diversity and social inclusion in multicultural Australia. Through partnerships with universities and sector leaders, she works to develop civic leadership capability among emerging leaders from culturally diverse backgrounds and to build programs that encourage meaningful participation in public life.

Annisa’s contributions to community leadership and multicultural engagement have been recognised through sector and community awards. In 2024, Annisa was honoured with the Victorian Multicultural Awards for Excellence and inducted into the Victorian Multicultural Honour Roll.
